Infertility Support Groups

Thank you for visiting my introduction to infertility support groups.

Infertility is a very frustrating and, for some, embarrassing experience for families and you can very often feel isolated as a result. What people don’t realise is the actual scale of the problem and there are many people in the same position as you.

The second thing people fail to understand is that, in the majority of cases, infertility can be easily cured (if you want to use that word…. I prefer corrected myself).

How do Infertility Support Groups work then ? Infertility Support Group Meeting

Now, if you are thinking that infertility support groups, just sit around and spout out their history of trying to get pregnant for the past 7 or 8 years then you’d be wrong. In my experience, support groups are a lot more positive and do indeed focus on the positive steps that each individual can take to finally conceive and give birth to a healthy baby.

Of course it’s not just about the knowledge you will get from speaking to others, but the emotional pressure will also be released and this, in itself, might just be the tonic that could help you conceive a baby. There are two quotes that are very true :

  • A problem shared is a problem halved
  • There is strength in numbers

You will certainly feel more stress-free and in control having released your emotions to a support group – or even one individual – who understands what you are going through.

There will be people the support group that are either experiencing, or no someone else who is experiencing : polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cysts, pelvic adhesions, fallopian tube blockage issues, fibroids, menstruation and menstrual cycles, missed periods, Gonadal Dysgenesis (aka Turner Syndrome), ovarian neoplasm, Luteal Dysfunction, Anovululation, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. I’ve even heard conversations about sex, STDs, vaginal odor and vaginal discharge !!! Basically, nothing will be off the menu of discussion.

Stress is now one of the main focuses against infertility and more studies are being undertaken on how infertility support groups can reduce the pressure.

Nice theory but where’s the evidence that infertility support groups actually work ?

Dormar & Associates confirmed a large increase in pregnancies for women in group therapy and infertility support groups, as opposed to women that had no support when undertaking infertility treatment. So :-

Group Therapy = Reduced Stress

A different study published in June 2006’s edition of Therapy Today showed that reducing cortisol (which is a hormone that is in high abundance when we are stressed) makes women more fertile. So :-

Reduced Stress = Reduced Cortisol = Higher Fertility

So, if you haven’t worked it out already :

Group Therapy = Reduced Stress = Reduced Cortisol = Higher Fertility

As you can see, resolving infertility really doesn’t have to be that difficult.

Are Infertility Support Groups good for men as well ?

The University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom undertook a study that observed an on-line forum which was for men who were struggling with infertility issues. The work looked at several months of conversations and proved that men are more likely to open up and unleash their feelings in this faceless type of environment.

Would they be as willing to open up in a local face to face type of support group ? Unfortunately the study didn’t cover that point, but my guess is that they would not be so willing to open up.

Which brings me nicely on to………..

Two Types of Infertility Support Groups

As I’ve alluded to above,  there are two ways you could go regarding infertility support groups.

  1. Infertility Support Groups On-line

Advantages : Infertility Support Group On-line

  • Large pool of world-wide knowledge
  • Likely to know about wider issues and the availability of up to date information
  • Potentially you could really ‘open up’ as the face to face embarrassment isn’t an issue

Dis-advantages :

  • You might not want to share as much information with ‘faceless unknown people’
  • You don’t know who you are dealing with
  • Less likely to reduce your stress levels significantly, sitting at a computer screen looking at words
  1. Local Infertility Support Groups

Advantages :

  • Physical human contact is likely to lower your stress levels
  • More of a ‘homely feel’ to the group
  • Could get to know the people really well and actually socialise with them outside of the support group – possible friends for life ?
  • Likely to really open up when you get to know them

Dis-advantages :

  • Might not have the expertise that the potential on-line world could bring
  • Initially, you might feel reluctant to ‘open up’ in front of people living in the same part of town as you

Okay, I can understand the benefits, so where can I find these infertility support groups ?

Online : Couldn’t be easier :

  • Search Google for : on-line Infertility Support Groups
    • Google do a fantastic job of providing on its first couple of pages groups that are most relevant to you
  • Another option is to go to a site called www.
  • In the search box type : infertility support group or even just infertility

Local support :

If you are looking for a local infertility support group, then you can get local information from RESOLVE (The National Infertility Association) – USA residents :

But (and I’ve elaborated on this below) in many cases, just hearing about others problems will not be enough to turn round your infertility in itself. You WILL need to take some sort of positive action at some point – And I really can’t stress this point enough.

But I really don’t want to get involved in an infertility support group. Is there anywhere else I can get the knowledge without sharing my life with complete strangers ?

I fully appreciate that, for some moms (or dads), there is no way they want to share their frustrations with strangers or a wider audience, and would rather keep discreet regarding theirs (or their partners) issues.

The good news is that knowledge has been condensed into some first class on-line courses now and some even come with email support built into the price of the package. The one that comes with my highest recommendation is Pregnancy Miracle, by Lisa Olson.

Lisa, actually provides 3 months email support and I have found that is more than enough time to see you through her extensive course and for you to ask any questions you might have (This is so much better than just buying a book from Amazon, which obviously offer you no after sales support).

Click on the link, or the image below, to go directly through to Lisa’s web-site. Alternatively, you might want to read my honest review of Lisa’s course on this link : Pregnancy Miracle Review

Whichever route you decide to take, please remember that the sum of your knowledge has got you where you are today. In other words, if you want to progress then you MUST take some additional action. This could be by joining some infertility support groups, mentioned previously, or by taking a look at the course I’ve mentioned above.

Either way, please don’t fall into the trap that I’ve seen so many fall into, which is aimlessly surfing the internet for months on end – looking for that golden piece of information.

Infertility can be overcome, but what you need is a strong program to follow, rather than just tit-bits of unrelated information, which unfortunately will not add up to getting pregnant.

I hope you have found this write up on infertility support groups informative and would help me share the love by recommending to your friends via the social links below.

How to Conceive the Gender of Your Choice Review

Welcome to my How to Conceive the Gender of Your Choice review page. This is the ebook by Ashley Spencer. This book is also known as How to Pick the Gender of Your Baby – which is actually the name of Ashley’s web site.

My name is Maria Anderson and you can read about me on the About Me page (Link at the top of this page). Choosing the gender of your baby

There are quite a few gender selection baby books on the market – some good and some not so good. I have reviews on others, on this site, and they can be found at the links further down this page.

If you have landed on this page straight from the search engine, then there is a chance that you are actually looking for a review of the How to Conceive the Gender of Your Choice book by Ashley Spencer. However, if it was the official site you were looking for, then you might want to click on the link below :

If you are still reading at this point, then thank you for staying with me. Whilst there are many Ashley Spencer’s gender selection reviews on the internet, I aim to offer the most comprehensive.

How to Conceive the Gender of Your Choice review

There might be a healthy increase in the population of the planet and the seeming ease at which this is happening. However, for some moms, trying to get pregnant isn’t easy and even more so choosing the gender of your baby would seem an impossibility. However, this is not the case.

Of course it is true that the majority of parents are quite happy to discover whatever little bundle of treasure is provided to them, and wish for nothing more than a healthy child. However, some would rather have the option to pick the gender of their baby. There could be a number of reasons for this, but my experience has generally found this to be :-

  • Avoiding a particular gender of child that has a high risk of disease or other condition that runs in that family How to pick the gender of your baby - happy parents
  • Wanting a particular gender for family or cultural reasons
  • Wanting a particular gender to balance a family (i.e. they might already have 2 or 3 of a particular sex)

In fact, it was this last point which prompted Ashley Spencer to write Pick the Gender of Your Baby.

The good news is that choosing the gender of your baby is possible. There is :-

(a) a medical way – through expensive treatments and

(b) a natural way – through what you eat and taking into consideration other health factors.

It is this latter method that is the basis of this Pick the Gender of our Baby review.

Ashley Spencer Gender Selection ReviewsWho is Ashley Spencer ?

Ashley Spencer is the author of How to Conceive the Gender of Your Choice book. She is a baby gender consultant, who has actually practiced what she preaches after having three boys, she was desperate for a little girl. She does explain how desperate on her web site.

What’s in the Book ?

Ashley Spencer’s Gender Selection methods are very much focused around the Shettles Method – which is based on years of scientific study.

At 63 pages, this is average for a book of this type and it is split into four main parts :

Part 1 – This part gives a general introduction to the subject and informs the reader of the ideas behind the system

Part 2 – This is the main part of the book and is split into three areas :

  • – What foods to eat for a boy, and what foods to eat for a girl
  • – The sexual positions you need to adopt in order to conceive boys, and ones to adopt to conceive girls
  • – How to time your intercourse to coincide with getting pregnant with a boy, and getting pregnant with a girl

Part 3 – Explains some methods you can use to best tell when you are ovulating.

Part 4 – Provides miscellaneous pregnancy information (e.g. baby showers)

Currently on offer with this book are two bonus books : Ashley Spencer's Gender Selection Book

  • 10x meal plans to help you change your body’s chemistry (a crucial factor in determining the ultimate gender of your baby, as male sperm thrive in a more alkaline environment).
  • A guide to knowing your ovulation cycle. Again this is crucial and compliments the theory of timing, which can effect whether you have a son or a daughter.

The whole package has been discounted from $97.00 to $47.00, which does represent fantastic value. However, I never just like to push any particular product down anyone’s throat. By all means visit Ashley’s official web-site by clicking on the book, or the link, below. But, if you are still unsure, you might also want to check out the section at the bottom of this page, called Alternative Gender Selection Courses.

Natural Gender Selection

Welcome to my article on natural gender selection. On this page, I’m going to look at two of the best-selling on-line books for this topic (How to Get Pregnant with a Boy and How to Get Pregnant with a Girl) and give you some idea of what is contained within each.

For those of you that are new to natural gender selection, I will give a brief summary of the possibilities, before diving into the book reviews.

Natural Gender Selection – The Reasons

There are many reasons why you would rather have a baby boy or a baby girl. These could be :-

  • To avoid a disease, or birth defects, that might run in a particular line of your family
  • For cultural reasons
  • Because you might already have 2 or 3 children of one sex and now you want to balance things up in your family

Whatever the reason (and I’m not going to get into the moral issues here), there are things that you can do to help conceive the child of your choice. Basically, they can be broken down into two main categories :

  • Natural Gender Selection and
  • Gender Selection with Medical Assistance.

For me, I have always favoured the natural gender selection of choosing a baby’s gender as being more ethical and seems to me less like ‘playing God’.

Here is an interesting very short video from the Center of Human Reproduction :

As you would have heard from the above video, there are various practice settings, available on the internet which are unproven. So you have to be careful when choosing to have medical treatment. It can, unfortunately, prove to be a very costly mistake.

There are other articles on this site whereby I do discuss medical assistance in more detail, and I am certainly planning a whole IVF category of articles in the very near future (which might even be in the selection on the right-hand side by the time you read this).

However, for this article, I am concentrating on purely natural gender selection methods.

There are two books, which are currently available, that I’m going to review at the same time…. Why ? Well, because How to Get Pregnant With a Boy and How to Get Pregnant With a Girl have both been written by the same author : Penelope Louise Brown. They are very similar in substance and layout – just one of the books is tailored for conceiving a boy and the other tailored for conceiving a girl. Both have clearly taken what’s known as the Shettles Method as their inspiration.

But before the reviews, let me give you a bit of background knowledge and some gender selection tips.

Natural Gender Selection Methods & Tips

Natural gender selection methods have many advantages over more expensive, and potentially dangerous medical treatments.

I always recommend that if you are trying to get pregnant with a baby of a particular sex, then consider what you can do to influence the outcome from tried and trusted medically proven facts. Those being :

  • Male (Y chromosome) sperm are :
    • Smaller
    • Faster
    • More Fragile
    • Do not live as long as female sperm
  • Female (X chromosome) sperm are :
    • Bigger
    • Take longer to reach the egg
    • Are not as agile
    • Are more robust
    • Live longer than the male sperm

The Dr. Shettles Method, was devised in the 1960’s and followed the basic following natural gender selection methods :

How to conceive a boy Natural gender selection methods

  • Do not have sex in the week leading up to ovulation as your partner will need to build up his sperm count.
  • Time your sex as close to ovulation as possible (ideally on the same day as ovulation).
  • Go for deep penetrating sex, as this will give the sperm a ‘head start’ (remember they have a shorter life span). Doggy style is good for this purpose.
  • The woman needs to have an orgasm during sex (okay, that’s easier said than done). The rationale being that her juices are very alkaline in substance, and this helps the life-span of the male sperm.

How to Conceive a Girl Natural gender selection diets

  • Have as much sex as you can take in the days prior to ovulation (Good news), but stop two or three days before ovulation (Bad news). This is to ensure that as many of the male sperm are dead or incapable of swimming to the egg, once that is produced.
  • Go for shallow penetration sex (missionary works well here). This means that the male sperm would have further to swim and less will be less likely to make it.
  • Do not have an orgasm. This will make the reproductive area more acidic, killing off many of the male sperm, leaving the way free for female sperm.

Okay, that’s the background knowledge. Let’s look at the books which expand on these theories.

How to Get Pregnant With a Boy / How to Get Pregnant With a Girl

At 20 pages each, both of these books are smaller than the competition (which range from 50-odd pages to over 250 pages). But then remember they are each only focussing on one of the sexes (so combined they would actually be 40 pages long), whereas other books look at tips for conceiving both boys and girls.

Being thinner books, means that only the ‘essential’ information is covered (although, if you are like me, you’d like to know a bit more of the background to the subject matter). This, perhaps, also explains the lower cost at $37.00 each – current discounted price (usual price $47.00).

The essentials covered include :

  • Natural gender selection diet : What to eat and, equally important, what to avoid eating.
  • Best time to have sex (in more detail than I have scratched upon above) and a bit of information on ovulation.
  • The best sexual positions (again, more detail than what I’ve shared above).

Crucially, you actually get a summary sheet telling you what to do and when. This makes life a lot easier when you do eventually start with the program.

In line with many of the downloadable books on this subject, you get bonus books, which complement the main product. Both the male and female version of the book offer the same three bonuses : Natural Gender Selection

  • A guide to your pregnancy
  • Choosing the right baby monitor
  • How to look great in maternity clothing

Nice little freebies, but nothing to get too excited about (if they were that good, they would obviously be selling them separately).

Of course, being a downloadable book, you do get immediate access to the books and they also come with a satisfaction guarantee (which is pretty standard stuff for this type of product).

As you will see below, there are other books on the market in the natural gender selection niche. However, most other books cover how to get pregnant with a boy AND how to get pregnant with a girl, within the same cover.

This is all well and good, but most families are only interested in obtaining a baby of a particular sex and have no interest in reading about how to get pregnant with a boy if, for example, they are trying to get pregnant with a girl. So, effectively you are paying for a recipe about chicken, when you want to eat beef (I hope that makes sense).

Having said that, there is another school of thought which says that if you are looking to conceive a girl, then it can help you if you know the elements recommended to conceive a boy – if only to avoid doing those elements in the first place.

Now there are other natural gender selection type books on the market, and I have reviewed a couple of them at the following links :

The books reviewed above are more expensive, but do have a bit more ‘meat’ to them. So it really just depends on :

  • What budget you have
  • How deep (and serious) you are about natural gender selection

If you want to see a comparison of all of the natural gender selection books I’ve reviewed, then you can look at my article here : Shettles Method – comparison of books <comming soon>

To visit either of Penny Brown’s official web-sites, then click on the book of your choice or the links below the books.

How to get pregnant with a boy                                                               How to get pregnant with a girl

How to Get Pregnant with a Boy                                              How to get Pregnant with a Girl

Whichever route you take, I do wish you all of the best with your family planning, but would recommend that you do at least take some form of positive action.

Do not fall into the trap that many wannabe moms fall into….. That is, just surfing the net aimlessly hoping to find that miracle article that will ‘change everything’. Unfortunately, that doesn’t exist. You need to obtain a proven program and stick with it. Then you can expect to see success.

I hope you found this article on natural gender selection informative and you would help me by sharing this information, using the social media buttons below.

If you are still here, then thank you for putting your trust in me for the next few minutes. My name is Maria Anderson and I am the founder of My story can be read on the home page and also on the ‘About Me’ page if you want to read a bit of background information.

I actually started this website in May 2011 and have been adding content to it ever since (feel free to browse using the links in the right-hand column). During that time, I have look at many natural infertility treatments and although I had heard of the great success about it, I have never actually undertaken a review of the Pregnancy Miracle book. In fact, it was just before Christmas (2011), that someone actually wrote to me and asked why I had not reviewed Pregnancy Miracle on the site. So, now I’m about to change all of that.

Now in my Pregnancy Miracle review, I have spoken more than just about the book itself. I think that it is important to understand the background to what lies behind Pregnancy Miracle. However, I appreciate that some readers might just want to ‘cut to the chase’, and with those people in mind, I have sub-divided my review and have headings, should you wish to scroll to any particular section.

Pregnancy Miracle review by Maria Anderson

Setting the Scene

Okay, from the off, Pregnancy Miracle is (apparently) the best-selling infertility cure book on the internet – although I’m not sure who’s actually counting. But hey, what I do know from my research that it IS a massively popular infertility book, with fantastic reviews and success stories, and Lisa Olson’s name (the one famous for this book) is plastered all over the internet.

Another thing I want to rest your mind with, up front, is that what Lisa Olson teaches in her course is based solely on natural pregnancy methods – without the use of drugs or surgery, both of which, in my experience, can actually do more damage than good. The methods that you will read about are clinically proven and scientifically accurate. There is no guesswork, wives-tales, or random theories. After all, this is your body we are talking about and we don’t want to take chances do we.

It has been designed for any moms that are trying to get pregnant. There are quite a few stories (including the author’s) whereby doctors have told the wannabe mom that she has little chance of getting pregnant. But, careful application of the contents of the course proved medical opinion wrong.

So, even if you have : Blocked tubes, high levels of Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), Endometriosis or PCOS, Fibroids or Ovarian Cysts, a History of Miscarriages, you are over 30 or 40 – or maybe it’s the man in your life that is the problem, then this course can help you. Of course there are other situations this course can help you with, but these ones are obviously some of the major problems.

Lisa Olson – About the Author

Lisa OlsonLisa Olson is probably an ideal author for this product. Unfortunately, so often, books like this are written from someone in the medical profession, who obviously know about the scientific theories but have no comprehension as to what a family are going through when trying to get pregnant.

Lisa (just like myself), on the other hand, HAS been there. She did struggle to get pregnant for over a decade, before giving birth – contrary to her Doctor’s prediction – to two healthy children. And she became pregnant with her first daughter at the age of 43 !!

Lisa labels herself as a Chinese Medicine Researcher, Alternative Health and Nutrition Specialist, Health Consultant and a Former Infertility Sufferer and she certainly seems to have combines all of those experiences to deliver a fantastic package.

I won’t take any more space here with Lisa’s story. If you want to read the full version of the Lisa Olson story, then you can read it on her site : Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle web site.

Pregnancy Miracle – Facts About the Book

It’s important to stress that the Pregnancy Miracle system is a totally holistic approach. That is, all aspects of the wannabe mom’s needs, psychological, physical and social are taken into consideration. This is what sets this home-study course apart from other treatments, which tend to focus on say the biological issues, without taking into consideration the mental issues (stress, for example).

The next important point to mention is that this course does not promote the use of pills, potions, or the unpleasant medical treatments, like IVF or IUI – or any other surgical procedures come to that. Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques are a big part of this course. But don’t let that put you off, combined with alternative medicines this results in a very successful combination.

At 279 pages, this is a massive read – although it is wonderfully set out with plenty of relevant Illustrations and Diagrams to aide learning and understanding.

Lisa does start off the book going into some detail about what she went through during her infertility years; and I know that this will resonate with many wannabe moms. There is heartache in her story as well. All I would say is have a box of tissues with you (just in case).

Many of the lies and myths are uncovered in the book and it will be important for you to ‘un-do’ some of the poor information that might be sitting in the back of your heads.

Lisa Olson Pregnancy Miracle book review

Chapter 4 is what many of you will be tempted to dive for straight away. However, this is actually one-third of the way through the book (about page 93) and I would say don’t skip what goes before because it’s that information which will ‘prime’ you for this crucial chapter.

Once you do get here, you will learn the step by plan for getting pregnant and (equally important) having healthy babies.

Now I will say that you do need to be open-minded. Yes, the first step in the process is about getting your mind-set right. I know that you hear that a lot now-days, in all walks of life, but it is so, so true.

  • Preparation is the key to all of this, get your mind right and it follows that your will get your body right.
  • Then diet, vitamins and minerals are discussed in great detail.
  • Next we move on to acupuncture and herbs (you need to be careful with what herbs you take though – but it is all explained here.
  • Internal cleansing and liver detoxification is covered.

There are certainly a few surprises in the chapter and, as I said earlier, you will need to have an open mind and remember WHY you are actually taking this approach. Yes, these methods are ‘a bit different’, but they do have a record of success and maybe what is mentioned here will be the ‘missing links’ to enable you to get what you want ?

I should point out that men’s fertility is also covered in the book. Let’s not forget that ‘it takes two to tango’.

There is a useful section hi-lighting techniques for women to self-check when they are most fertile.

In fact, such is the comprehensive nature of the material, it could be argued that if you follow it to the letter, you might actually see many other health benefits, in addition to a major improvement in your fertility.

If I really had to point to a downside of the program, it would be the amount of material. 279 pages is clearly not a quick read. However, I think that once you start reading pregnancy Miracle, you really won’t want to put it down.

To help with the potential overwhelm of information, what you get are some fantastic charts and check-lists and these really help focus the mind on what you need to do. There should be no-excuses for ‘missing out’ on anything as you proceed through the course.

Obviously, I cannot give too much more away, otherwise I would be breaching copy-right laws. However, I have done a little summary further down this page, which you might find helpful.

Before that though, I should tell you that you do get free bonus books with the main course………

Pregnancy Miracle Bonuses (all free)

I have reviewed quite a few of these products now, and virtually all on-line books do provide ‘tempting bonuses’ to make the offer a little more enticing. I have to be honest and say that what you get with Pregnancy Miracle absolutely blows the competition out of the water. I won’t go into too much detail here, as the full information regarding these products is on Lisa’s web-site. However, I will summarise, to give you a flavour of what you will be getting.

You get six bonuses in total : Pregnancy Miracle Book

  • Pregnancy Week By Week Guide – Yes you actually get a book detailing what’s going to happen week-by-week during your pregnancy. And believe me WILL have a very good chance of getting pregnant.

Pregnancy Miracle

  • Book of Baby Names – This is over 100 pages long and contains over 7000 boy and girl names, with their meanings (just so you won’t embarrass them when they get older).

Pregnancy Miracle Bonuses

  • Understanding the Phases of the Female Body – This is actually a very interesting read and a great guide for all women, whether or not they are trying to get pregnant. It covers menstruation, menopause, PMS – it’s all there.

Pregnancy Miracle Bonuses

  • The Ultimate Guide to Relaxation – This is actually one of the key elements that seems to preventing more and more women from getting pregnant. And yet it’s actually quite easy to achieve.

Pregnancy miracle discount

  • Free Life-time Updates – What I love about Lisa is that she is not a ‘take your money and run’ type of merchant. She wants to continue her work in this field (her way of ‘giving back’) and will provide life-time updates as knowledge in this area develops (although I suspect that you won’t be needing updates anyway).

Pregnancy Miracle support

  • 3 Month Email Support – Yes, you can actually email Lisa for three months and ask her anything you like about your struggles to conceive. I wish that type of service would have been available to me when I was trying to get pregnant. She must be sitting answering emails all day !!

Is There Any Proof That The Pregnancy Miracle Actually Works ?

Well, Lisa herself was able to get pregnant twice in quick succession, after years of trying to get pregnant. In addition, Lisa posts 18 of her many success stories on her web-site for everyone to see (There are ‘bumps’ and babies everywhere). Warning : It’s box of tissues time when you read some of them.

One that particularly resonated with me was from Nicole (actually the first success story on the page), who seemed to go through every treatment in the medical professional’s book (as well as miscarriages), before putting all of that aside, and she got pregnant just 4 weeks after reading the book. Some of the success stories have taken a little longer though.

Heart wrenching stuff.

So What’s the Cost ?

The great news is that, at the time of writing (Feb 2012), there is a Pregnancy Miracle discount available and instead of the usual price of $49.99, she has reduced it to $ 39.00. However, she has said that the price of this will be going up shortly to $49.99 and then there’s even talk of it being made into a membership or mentoring package worth $197.00.

Whilst it is not unusual to see these type of products offering this type of ‘buy it now whilst it’s cheap’ tactic, I can honestly believe that the price will go up to the mentoring package (because effectively that’s what Lisa will be offering with the 3 month email support that you will be getting for the lower price).

The bonuses mentioned previously are calculated to be worth $ 351.82, so you are effectively getting over $400.00 worth of goods for $39.00 (sorry, I do love a bargain).

Maria’s Summary

Below you will find a link to alternative products, but to be perfectly frank, Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle is by far the best package on the market. It will certainly leave you thinking about preparing for pregnancy and child birth.

I regret to say that there are pregnancy guides on the internet that have been written by people with no experience in this field whatsoever (some of them are just marketers throwing together a load of junk).

The good news is that generally these products are so obviously bad that they are actually quite laughable – I just hope that a desperate mom does not stumble upon one of these ‘guides’ and act on its ‘advice’ (I’m tempted to write a post and ‘name and shame’ at some later point).

Lisa Olson is a real person. A person who has clearly suffered in her attempts to get pregnant, but a person that has resolved her problems. She knows what the issues are and she can empathise with like-minded struggling moms. This is why she offers such an amazing gift of 3-months’ worth of counselling. That, to me, is a game changer in this industry and worth the price of the book on its own. And you certainly won’t get that level of service by buying a book from Amazon.

However, for me, the main competitor to this book is the book I USED to promote as the number one in this niche, called Pregnancy Success, by Diana Farrell. You can check out my review at the following link : Pregnancy Success Review.

Wow – this post ended up being waaaaay longer than I anticipated. I really hope that you got something out of this article and it has prompted you to want to take further action.

All I would say is please don’t get into the ‘rut’ that many struggling to get pregnant moms find themselves in and spend months surfing the net, trying to look for snippets of information. That, unfortunately does NOT work, because that’s all you end up with… just snippets of information.

What you need is a program of information that has been fused together to complement each and every part of the program, not just random bits of information. Put it this way, you wouldn’t go to a scrap metal yard; pick up a load of random mechanical bits; and expect to make a working car out of them would you ? Maybe that’s what’s happening by continuing to surf the net for random bits of information ?

Plan My Baby Review

Welcome to my Plan My Baby Review page. This is a review of the phenomenally successful eBook on gender selection, by Alicia Pennington.

Let me tell you up front, I am NOT going to try and sell this product to you. As you will see from a quick scroll down to the bottom of this page, I do actually offer two alternatives to this book, which you may want to consider.

If you were actually looking for the official Plan My Baby (Prince or Princess) website, then please click on the link below :

However, if you were after an honest review of the product, then please read on.

My name is Maria Anderson and there is plenty of information about me on other pages of this web site, so I won’t take up your time here. Now, whilst I have had issues trying to get pregnant in the past, I have never actually wondered how to get pregnant with a boy, or how to get pregnant with a girl. For me, just giving birth to my beautiful little girl was more than enough joy. However, I fully appreciate that some moms do want that choice.

Why You Might Want To Choose The Gender Of Your Baby

I have, in the past, run a support group for moms that were trying to get pregnant and many moms there did tell me their issues in trying to specifically give birth to a baby boy or a baby girl. Some of these reasons include :

  • Cultural – The preference of having a male over a female baby, for example.
  • Hereditary diseases – Some families want to have a particular gender to avoid any issues that may be running through either the male line or the female line.
  • To even things up – You might already have one (or more) of a certain gender and would rather one of the opposite gender to balance your family.

So, baby gender selection – Do you really have a choice ?

Plan My Baby Review – Course Contents

The course itself comes in eBook format. This means that you can read it on your computer (PC or Mac), printing it off if necessary. It is 63 pages long and available for immediate download (so no waiting for anything to arrive in the mail).

Once you are at the download page, you will get access to two download links : Plan My Baby Review

  • The actual eBook
  • The bonuses (see below)

The book is in easily identifiable sections, so you can focus on :

  • How to conceive a boy, or
  • How to conceive a girl

The first part is about what types of food to eat. It is important to note that you really need to start the program a couple of months before you plan to get pregnant, as your body will need time to adjust. For example it’s no good suddenly eating a load of dairy produce the day before you have sex and then expect to give birth to a little girl 9 months later.

Alicia does go into quite some detail about the example foods to each for each gender type and example recipes are also given.

Next up is the role that correct timing of intercourse plays in determining the gender of your baby. A little bit of planning on your part can have fantastic results.

Finally, the actual sex act itself is examined, explaining the reasons for deep penetration for a boy and shallow penetration for a girl. The graphics of the sexual positions are quite detailed – yet tastefully drawn.

Ovulation, conception and pregnancy is examined in other chapters of the book, and give a detailed, but easily understandable, explanation of what is actually going on inside your body during these times.

Bonus Material

You also get bonus material, which compliments the main book. These are :

  • The Healthy Pregnancy Guide
  • Breastfeeding Secrets
  • A Plan My Baby MP3 audio – I’m not sure if everyone gets this. You might see it as a bonus when you click the orange download now (“Order”) button on the sales page

Plan My Baby – The Good and The Bad ?

The great thing about this book is that it is really well structured, easy to follow, and it does not assume you to have a higher educational qualification in human biology. The terms used are simple and understandable.

Another plus point is that we are only talking about natural methods to achieve the desired outcome. The is no messing around with pills or potions, and neither will you be expected to undergo surgery. Natural always gets the ‘thumbs up’ in my book.

The bad news is that, if you are serious about this, then you will need to make some life-style changes. Now they could be be as simple as changing your diet (depending on where you are at now) – but hey, many moms have told me that it really was a small price to pay. Either way, you can’t go into this half-hearted. Take it seriously, or don’t take it at all is my advice.

Plan My Baby – Summary

Overall, an excellent publication which certainly appears to have a great success rate and is very popular. However, if it was me, then I probably would be a little bit hesitant in taking the plunge if a life depended on having either a boy or a girl (i.e. to avoid genetic problems mentioned previously) – in that case, I would consult my doctor before taking the plunge. However, if I was merely hoping to influence the gender of my next baby, then I would be more than happy to follow this advice.
